Sundar Pichai is an Indian-American business executive and computer engineer who is currently the CEO of Google and its parent company, Alphabet Inc. He was born in 1972 in Chennai, India, and later studied at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and Stanford University.
Pichai joined Google in 2004 and held various positions within the company, including overseeing the development of the Chrome browser and the Android mobile operating system. He was appointed CEO of Google in 2015, taking over from Larry Page, and became CEO of Alphabet in 2019.
Under Pichai’s leadership, Google has continued to expand its offerings and has diversified into new areas such as hardware, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. Pichai has also been a vocal advocate for issues such as data privacy and the responsible development of artificial intelligence.
In addition to his role at Google, Pichai is a member of the board of directors of Alphabet and is involved in various philanthropic and educational initiatives. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential and successful tech executives in the world.
